India being a democratic country and having a somewhat complex polity, to fight for a social cause or negotiate against an evil practice for any agency, single-handed would be problematic. Hence building partnerships or coalitions for NISWASS on similar or same issues would appear to be imperative.
Hence it has gone in for building partnerships with individuals or agencies inside and outside the State. This would strengthen its position in the State of Odisha. We are fully aware that any collaboration or coalition needs trust and integrity. Again collaborations can be destructive in the sense that such agencies can take NISWASS away from its avowed objectives.
Hence we are very selective about collaborations and have survived for long thirty-six years without losing our identity and niche in the firmament of NGOs in the state.
We believe in the adage that unity is strength and we also strive for the principle of unity in diversity and progress with multiplicity. We have networked with Government Departments, educational institutions and even grass root organizations as well as non-governmental agencies and groups based on principles of solidarity and socialization.
