Our Resources
The Information Resources Section is a Web-based information service which aims to serve as an online repository of information resources of relevance to the academic and research community, both in Odisha, in India and around the globe. This Section aims to cater to the information needs of the NISWASS and research communities by hosting, mirroring, and linking to resources of relevance to this highly acclaimed social studies centre. The primary focus of The Information Resources Section is to inform our users about our facilities and amenities, our training programmes and other facilities available for students at the NISWASS.
The section is aimed to create a virtual face book for infrastructure available at the NISWASS.
The Classroom Facilities Unit is responsible for the physical teaching & learning environment in general purpose classrooms. This includes classroom facilities operation and readiness, including maintenance and upkeep of central classrooms and all furnishings.
Several NISWASS classrooms are equipped with A/V equipment that can be used for instruction, conferences and meetings. The large classrooms have all basic instructional equipments, while smaller classrooms and conference halls have both audio and visual devices as per requirements. Portable projectors can also be borrowed for use in rooms that do not have projectors installed

library&journals !
NISWASS has a growing library. It is small, yet functional and has latest publications in the relevant fields which engage the faculty and students. It offers students, staff, research scholars and visitors, a good selection of books on Social Work and social sciences. Aware of the fact that Social Work is a multi-disciplinary subject and keeping in view the readers' need, we are trying to widen its reference and issue sections. We have already embarked upon a process of modernization, up gradation and linking with other libraries. With the expansion of the different departments in the Institute, the volume of books in the library is growing fast. The total collection of books as on January 31, 2005 is around 12,000. The number of periodicals both from India and abroad being subscribed by in all the three centers viz. Bhubaneswar, Sundergarh and Phulbani is about 100. readmore
