Department Of Integrated Community Health Care

praxis Research

The research projects that were implemented among others are the following: Base-line Survey of Upgraded Special Nutrition Programme (1983-85) for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar Districts, Base-line Survey for Sustainable Rural Primary Health Care Programme (1992) in Daringbadi.

The Department will take up applied research on different health parameters in common man's interest. Fundamental and applied research on Malaria, Sickle Cell Anaemia, Meningitis, Tuberculosis, and Leprosy will be carried out to study their socio-economic impact and develop technologies for early diagnosis as well as explore the nature’s flora and fauna to find suitable therapy.

ADVOCACY and Campaigns

The Department of Integrated Community Health will not only teach students for academic reasons, but also learn from the people what they really need in relation to their health problems.

alliances and NETWORKING

The Department of Integrated Community Medicine will have a strong networking system to link the common man's problem with any part of the globe for its solution. This will open a new era in the medical history as the world will be questioned and hopefully answers will be obtained by a common man who lives in a remote village of India.
